The Unconditional Campaign is our Annual Campaign to raise money for a certain program that we are launching. This year we chose Adopt-A-Block Rockford as our program. This program is coming out of Los Angeles and will need capital to get enough traction to truly make an impact on our community. Consider joining our campaign by committing to a one time donation or a monthly contribution for 12 months.

Some events we host annually are

  • Adopt-A-Block Rockford
  • Future Collegiate Stars Youth Basketball League
  • Breakfast & Blankets
  • Christmas with Superheroes
Adopt-A-Block Rockford is a program designed to improve neighborhoods by developing and maintaining relationships between neighbors while cleaning up certain areas of the city. We will be hosting neighborhood block parties once a month all over the city which will allow the opportunity for neighbors to get to know each other as well as helping people in need in those neighborhoods. We will have inflatables, food, clothes, and tons of volunteers there to help clean up and build relationships in these areas.

The Future Collegiate Stars Youth Basketball League is a league for 4th - 8th graders designed to help not just fatherless kids stay active but to encourage all children to dream big. Every child can have a collegiate future. This league has been designed to help children and families to understand the importance of utilizing basketball as a tool to get an education.

We require all of our participants to serve 5 hours of community service with a registered not for profit in the area, as well as all 8th-grade participants attend a 1-hour financial aid course to learn about collegiate application processes with one guardian. We want these children to have extending their education at the top of the mind.

We also offer 4 hours a week of free tutoring to all of our participants. The Future Collegiate Stars Youth Basketball League is a league where every child has a bright future. The season begins in September and runs through October.

The Phoenix Foundation is a foundation designed to bring light to addiction and mental health. The foundation was created in honor of the late, Ryan Hoskinson, who was a recovering addict and active participant in the Fatherhood Encouragement Project. Ryan's vision was to create a gym called the Phoenix Gym and focus its attention on helping recovering addicts find another outlet to get healthy. The Phoenix Foundation is created to scholarship students who are pursuing a degree in addiction counseling every year.

To qualify students must currently be either a senior in high school or enrolled in college and pursuing a degree in addiction counseling.

Annual Fatherhood Encouragement Banquet

Our annual banquet happens in February every year and it is a party for the decades. We allow our community to nominate dads for 10 different categories. We host an event to raise funds for a different campaign every year. We have Disney characters, a red carpet and many many other attractions for the whole family. We then announce winners in each category. If you would like to honor a dad please nominate them with a 2 paragraph letter on why specifically you chose them to that specific award.

Christmas with Superheroes:

Every year the Fatherhood Encouragement Project adopts children in need from Rockford Illinois. Over the last 3 years we have adopted over 1000 children and over 87% of them come from fatherless homes. We raise money year-round to fund this project. We then host a wonderful Christmas celebration with the Rockford Police and Fire Departments as well as the Rockford Housing Authority. We have volunteer dads dress up as childhood superheroes and we get Santa to make a special appearance while laughing and enjoying lots of smiles

The Heal Project stands for Hope. Excel. Affirm. and Lead. and is a program that serves under the umbrella of the Fatherhood Encouragement Project. The focus is to help single mothers by giving children without active fathers an opportunity for mentorship. We focus on tutoring, team building, character building, leadership development, and sporting participation. We are always looking for volunteers, however, volunteers do go through a vigorous background check for the safety of each child.

Breakfast and Blankets:

Every fall the Fatherhood Encouragement Project collects winter gear like hats, gloves, thick socks, jackets, and shoes and we serve the homeless community. Food is always provided by Food 4 Fuel and our collections are spread out and collected by Anytime Fitness locations throughout Rockford, Loves Park, Machesney Park, and Roscoe Illinois.
